Letter	Dear Representative Wilson, As a growing desert state, New Mexico has a precious and limited water supply. Because our water is so scarce, its important to protect every drop. Unfortunately, recent Supreme Court and agency decisions have put New Mexico's streams and rivers at risk of losing critical Clean Water Act protection. Without Clean Water Act protection, many of the country's streams and wetlands, which provide more than 110 million Americans with their drinking water, could become dumping grounds. Please cosponsor and support the Clean Water Restoration Act. The Clean Water Restoration Act would reaffirm the historical jurisdiction of the 1972 Clean Water Act and ensure all "waters of the United States" that have been covered for more than 34 year by federal safeguards against pollution retain Clean Water Act protection.
