Don't Gut New Mexico's Environmental Agencies

Senate Finance has approved amendments to gut 6 full time positions from our state’s environmental agencies. In retaliation for standing up to powerful special interests and adopting the Clean Cars Program and oil and gas pit waste protections for our groundwater, industry lobbyists and their friends in the legislature are proposing dangerous staffing cuts to the New Mexico Environment Department and the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department.

Please call the capitol switchboard (986-4300) and ask to speak with your legislator from the list below. If you don’t know who your legislator is, please visit the New Mexico legislative website at http://legis.state.nm.us.

"Hi, my name is _______ and I live in your district in ______, NM. Please oppose cutting staff from the New Mexico Environment Department and the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department. These positions are needed to protect our environment."
