| Public hearings were held recently to gather input about how much Phelps Dodge should pay to perform environmental remediation on the Tyrone copper mine, a subsidiary of Phelps Dodge. Environment New Mexico has submitted public comments supporting the New Mexico Environment Department in calling on Phelps to engage in a comprehensive clean-up plan. | |
