Saving national forests

Thanks to our federation’s work, more than 1.5 million citizens nationwide called on the Clinton administration to protect pristine areas in our national forests, resulting in the Roadless Rule. When the Bush administration attempted to overturn the rule, we worked with governors in seven states to petition to protect their forests.

During his time in Congress, Steve Pearce has opposed policies to save New Mexicans money on gasoline, reduce traffic, and reduce air pollution according to an analysis released by Environment New Mexico today.
