Environment New Mexico Endorses Candidates for 2016 Elections

Environment New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM – Environment New Mexico announced its endorsement of two candidates for the 115th Congress. The candidates are:

Michelle Lujan Grisham – Congressional District 1

Ben Ray Lujan – Congressional District 3

Their voting histories and their dedication to Environment New Mexico’s key issues–including global warming, open space, clean air, clean water and clean energy–led to today’s endorsements. Just this past fall, Environment New Mexico endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.

Environment New Mexico’s Sanders Moore made the following statement:

“To ensure a healthy environment, we need more voices in Congress to fight for action on global warming, measures to clean our air, stop pollution in our waterways and promote clean energy like wind and solar. These candidates have shown commitments to solving these pressing environmental concerns for both New Mexico and the country as a whole.

“On November 8, voters in New Mexico will be able to make a clear choice on the ballot for the environment by supporting these candidates for Congress. To make sure we tackle our climate crisis, make progress on clean air and clean water, support New Mexico’s parks and farmland and bring more wind and solar energy online, we must recognize that 2016 is a critical time to exercise our right to vote.”
